Paris is considered one of the top filming locations worldwide. The charm of the French capital attracts the film industry magically and we were also allowed to watch filming during our stay here.

Of course, many Paris visitors go in search of the original locations of their favorite films.

My favorite was "The Fabulous World of Amélie".

This virtual cache trilogy should be a little guide through Amelie's fabulous world.

To log this cache, visit Square Willette at the foot of the Sacré-Cœur basilica and make 2 photos referring to the movie.

Examples:

Square Willette and carousel, at the foot of the Sacré-Cœur basilica (optional) painting with blue chalk arrow (get chalk before!)

The park between the carousel and the basilica is called Square Louise-Michel (formerly Square Willette). The phone booth next to the carousel is not there in real life. But sometimes you'll find blue arrows here on the ground, painted in chalk by true Amélie fans.

View over Montmartre (Teleskope)

The binoculars Nino uses in the movie have been replaced with a newer one. (see photo télescope logproof)
From here you can discover the old carousel below. This is the courtyard where Amélie makes and Nino receives that phone call.
Tip: Amélie scene on the rooftop you can get a similar view if you climb the steps to the top of the Basilique du Sacré Coeur.

But if you are not a fan of the film, I'm sure you'll will love montmartre.

Hier ging es mit niggae auf die Suche nach dem Cache (1) Le fabuleux destin d'Amélie (Montmartre). Dieser wurde nach einem schönen Spaziergang gut in seinem Versteck gefunden.

Exemple Log:

Heute folgten wir Amelies Spuren. Wir besuchten das Karussell und Sacre Couer. Das ist noch wie im Film. Leider fand ich zuspät heraus, dass das Telephone nur für den Film dort stand. Auch blaue Pfeile waren heute nicht zu sehen.

Leider hatte ich keine Kreide dabei und so sende ich ein Foto vom Karussell und dem Fernrohr.

Aujourd'hui, nous avons suivi les traces d'Amélie. Nous avons visité le carrousel et Sacre Couer. C'est toujours comme dans le film. Malheureusement, j'ai découvert que le téléphone n'était là que pour le film. De plus, les flèches bleues n'étaient pas visibles aujourd'hui.

Malheureusement, je n'avais pas de craie et j'ai donc envoyé une photo du manège et du télescope.
