This easy cache is hidden near to the Lourdesgrotte in Maria Gugging.
The Lourdesgrotte near to the little village Maria Gugging was inspired by Caspar Hutter. During a hike to the village Hadersfeld he had the idea to create a imitation of the wellknown Lourdes in france. On 10th of may 1925 the Lourdesgrotte was consecrated by prelate Ignaz Seipel in the attendance of the later cardinal Innitzer. Approximately 60.000 persons participated in this celebration.
You can reach the cache area either by car or by public transport (bus line 239, bus station Lourdesgrotte). If you choose the car please do not use the parking lot of the nearby pub, a public parking lot is situated at the coordinates N 48°19.132 ; E016°14.305. For those of you who don't like Drive In - Caches it is possible to combine the caching with a little hiking tour. There are some hiking paths, leading to the Lourdesgrotte.
A little remark (especially for those of you, who try to find the cache without a GPSr): The cache is not hidden in the Lourdesgrotte itself, but in the surroundings (wood). Please do not disturb any religious celebration!

Schneller Fund am heutigen Muttertag, obwohl die Koordinaten etwas off sind ist das Versteck kaum zu übersehen. Nach mir kam dann eine nette Cacherfamilie deren Nickname ich in den Logs hier lesen werde.

Nach einer Wanderung zur Tempelbergwarte als Abschlußbelohnung eingeheimst.
Zur Bemerkung: "Diejenigen die Drive In - Caches nicht gerne mögen, können das ganze auch mit einer kleinen Wanderung verbinden. Es führen einige Wanderwege (z.B. von Hadersfeld, oder St. Andrä - Wördern) zur Lourdesgrotte" - Die Wege von der Lourdegrotte nach Hadersfeld und zurück sind in erbärmlichen Zusatnd - Forstmaschinen haben tiefe Spurrinnen in die Wege gegraben. Hab so einen "Kinderwagenwanderführer" - aber mit Kinderwagen wurde das zur Schwerarbeit, und sonst ist es zur Zeit auch nicht besonders schön zu gehen dort...

Der Empfang war eher sehr mäßig, soferne überhaupt einer vorhanden war. Vielleicht liegt das aber auch an der Ausstrahlung der Grotte. Der Platz ist recht nett, aber leider auch sehr einsichtig. Man kann sehr leicht beobachtet werden.

We used our torches to find the cache at 2045 and tried to behave as stealthy as possible. :D
