AMS III

Hier hats zwei Anläufe gebraucht. Beim ersten Mal bin ich viel zu weit nach links geraten und war leichtsinnigerweise auch noch mit Turnschuhen unterwegs. Nach soundsovielen namenlosen Höhlen und viel höher als angegeben musste ich irgendwann erkennen, daß ich hier komplett falsch bin. Also nochmal runter, auf die Wanderstiefel umgesteckt, die Logs gelesen (Spezialdank an Lord Harry!) und wieder rein in die Wand, diesmal mit Drall nach rechts. Dort gehts zwar auch wieder ordentlich rauf, aber es zeichnet sich gleich viel deutlicher ein Weg und ein Ziel ab. Dort steht man dann erstmal und staunt. Schnell war sich dann der Weg durch die Innereien der Höhle gebahnt und das Doserl entdeckt. Da dieses leider ziemlich zernagt und vor allem komplett leer war, hab ich es durch eine neue Filmdose mit ein paar losen Blättern darin ersetzt. Vielleicht bei Gelegenheit mal vorbeischauen, aber eigentlich sollte das für ein Zeitl ausreichen.

Ich hoffe gebu verzeiht mir, dass ich jetzt vielleicht zu viel erzähle aber nach dem erwähnten Bankerl geht bitte gleich wieder rechts...
ich bin leider gleich links rauf, blöderweise dem Pfeil nach...
nach ungefähr 30hm ist der Untergrund so trocken und staubig, dass kein Halt mehr zu finden war und ich ca. 15m wieder runtergekugelt bin bevor ich mir an einem Baum festkrallen konnte. *autsch, keuch, zitter* schnell Handy raus und faustus angerufen, "wenn ich mich in 1h net meld, hat´s mich beim AMS III obig´haut"
mitten in der Leitn bin ich dann nach rechts und hab dann die "Wegspuren" gefunden... der Rest war dann kein Problem mehr...

WOW. Bin mal wieder sprachlos, was sich da alles im Wald verbirgt. Aufstieg war zwar etwas mühsam, aber eigentlich kein Probelm (jaja, Tageslicht ist schon eine tolle Erfindung [:D]). Die Höhle selbst ist echt super, total viele Winkel und Abzweigungen, beim Zurückgehen wär i echt fast falsch abgebogen, aber dank DJ fand ich doch wieder raus [:I].

Cache 6/6 on todays cachetour together with eTtt.
Err.. pfew. Somehow the other AMS caches I did before were... easier?
Getting to the cache from the beginning of the cave wasn't difficult at all - easy going. Just the approach _to_ the cave... and the way _baaaack_.. I was not far from giving up
But with some help from eTtt I managed to finish this cache without injury

Nachdem ich AMI III gelogt habe, jetzt der richtige log (das kommt davon wenn man um 2 Uhr früh loggt [:)]):
Endlich die derzeitige AMS Serie zum Abschluss gebracht, und auch Nr. III ist ebenso aufregend, wie der Rest der Serie!

Wirklich ein ganz toller Platz, nur die kleinen, für meinen Geschmack aber zu großen Höhlenbewohner mit den vielen Beinchen waren nicht so meins .... Für alle denen es ebenso geht: Keep your eyes on the ground ....

Superschöner Cache. Heute beim zweiten Anlauf gefunden. Das erste Mal haben wir doch einfach den Ausgang nicht gesehen...
EDIT: Leider haben einige "Menschen" vor der Höhle eine ziemliche Sauerei angerichtet. Zigarettenschachteln, Glasscherben, eine Eristoff Flasche usw. liegen dort herum. Außerdem wurde die Höhlenwand mit weißer Farbe besprüht (das ist mir jedenfalls das letzte Mal nicht noch aufgefallen). Das Ganze trübt die Stimmung und die Schönheit dieses Platzes ein wenig... :-(

Unlike the Piberstein cache which I did after this cache everything was difficult for me as this cache was regarded.

My troubles started already with finding a way to drive to the given parking coordinates. After some time I gave up and left my car at the beginning of Mitschweg where driving is only allowed for people who live there. What I did not know is that there exists a small lane which leads from the B77 directly to the parking coordinates (this lane is not visible on the AMAP and on my hiking map - Mitschweg looks there, however, like a street where driving is allowed). Cachers with navigation software or cachers who look up the way on some routing software do have a real advantage when accessing this cache.

Finding the place where the ascent is to be started was easy, but after some time I could not find any longer something which I regard even as a very small path. Near a small sort of cave (looks like an artificial one) with a carpet outside, I turned left and ended up in a very unpleasant area with lots of small stones on a steep slope.
I turned around and was close to giving up. Then I decided to give it a last try as the cache description mentioned that the cave cannot be missed. I turned right near the small cave and then simply climbed up the slope (sometimes I followed traces that perhaps someone else might regard as traces of paths ...) until I saw a large rocky wall - this gave me some new hope and this time I was rewarded for my effort. When I saw a large cave I knew that I was right.
It is a great place - maybe the most impressive cave I have seen so far - most caves are only impressive from inside, this one is fascinating also from outside.

It was not at all easy for me to accomplish the last meters up to the cave. It was quite slippery. Gert who was so kind and gave me some information on the terrain difficulty of this cache, had told me that the part inside the cave is easy - it was not easy for me today. The first part was slippery, either wet or loamy. Then I first did not take the right turn and ended up in narrow deadends. Finally I managed to find the right way and then also the right exit. The last meters to the cache were the most easy part for me as this cache is regarded. Finding the cache was also a piece of cake - I need to admit, however, that I had taken a look at the spoiler photopgraph a while ago.

The view from one of the exits one passes on the way to the cache is enormous - indeed a fascinating place which must have been of special importance to the people many centuries ago.

The cache is in good condition. The code word was a bit hard to read, but as I will not be able to do the AMS II cache, I would not have needed to write down the code word at all.

The last part of the way back out of the cave was even more difficult as the way in (going down is more difficult for me than climbing up, in particular if it is slippery). I was very glad when I had accomplished the difficult part of the way back to the car and had reached again the street.

Thanks for showing me this wonderful place. The cache is nice, but at the border line of what I am able to do on my own (provided that the conditions are sufficiently good as today as I had not rained recently). It is very recommendable to come with good shoes.

I am not sure whether I wrote the right logging date on the log sheet - I was a bit exhausted and overwhelmed by the area and by my emotions because I managed to reach a place where some years ago I would not even have dreamed of being able to do so.
