Das phantastische Rätsel eh schon lange gelöst bin ich heute einfach mal auf Verdacht hin und da ist die verschwundene Dose auf einmal vor meinen Augen wieder aufgetaucht. Allerdings sieht sie jetzt etwas anders aus und sie liegt wahrscheinlich auch an einer etwas anderen Stelle als vorher. Außerdem ist das Logbuch ein eher provisorisches und den Stift muß wohl der Fisch gefressen haben. [:P]

Endlich mal die Zeit gehabt bei diesen Cache vorbeizuschauen. Das Rätsel war erhelblich leichter als das orginale Babelfischrätsel, vor Ort musste ich dann nur ein paar Minuten suchen. Der Dose gehts gut und sie würde sich über mehr Besucher freuen.

Wirklich sehr schönes und interessantes und auch lustiges Rätsel .
Leider hatte ich anfangs überhaupt keinen blassen Schimmer nach was ich suchen sollte...

Doch einige Tage später, lief ich durch einen Wald (ich bin ja ein Waldläufer) und fand ganz zufällig ein bestimmtes Objekt.
"Das, das, das, ist ja das fehlende Puzzleteil für das Flaschenpost-Rätsel!!!" stammelte ich erfreut .

Mit norskog gleich diesen Cache angegangen. Norskog konnte mit meinen Angaben die Cachelocation schnell lokalisieren und dann wurden uns auch die restlichen Puzzleteile klarer.

Dann vor Ort die restlichen Daten erhoben und schnell herausgefunden, wo der Cache sein sollte.
Doch da war er nicht .
Also 50/50 Joker (additional hints): - alles richtig gemacht und 50 % mehr Wissen - doch der Hint war nicht auffindbar (selbstverständlich kein Spoilerbild dabei).
Also Telefonjoker: nach dem Gespräch mit Waldschrat T. waren wir genauso ahnungslos wir vorher ("Häää?! Wo?!")
Also Publikumsjoker: aj-gps tratt plötzlich in mein Sichtfeld, während ich noch mit Waldschrat T. telefonierte.
"Soll er es machen", dachte ich. Doch er blieb genauso erfolglos wie wir.

Wie die Irren gesucht und gesucht (insgesamt ca. 30 min).
Dann endlich, endlich den Cache gefunden. norskog hatte sich während seiner Telefonpause fast an das Versteck gelehnt.

ABER: Ich habe von den gesuchtem Ort Richtung (BU) gemessen - nicht (BU)(BT)(B(L-1)! Und zwar mit meinem klassischen Pfadfinder-Magnet-Kompass.

Ansonsten ein super gemachter Cache!!! Wirklich klasse!

Approaching the target area I noticed two people close to the place - turned out to be Waldlaeufer and Norskog, who were already looking for the cache box for quite a while and even tried a telephoner joker. Together we finally found the box after a few minutes of searching - it was right next to Norskog, who took a break next to a tree

Hello with one another I cannot state that the Cache of the simplest kind was. Together with game Wuggis we solved this Cache. Search the Caches then longer lasted than thought. Very well hides. Martin

Ein schöner cache + super Idee. Wobei es mir fast unmöglich gewesen wäre ihn heute zu finden, denn: Gerade als ich das Rätsel gelöst hatte gab mein Laptop bzw. der Internetzugang den Geist auf, also den DJ angerufen und mit Hand alles aufgeschrieben. Dann querfeldein (vom falschen Ausgangspunkt) zum cache, hätte nicht sein müssen, macht aber nix. Beim cache - herumgesucht - DJ angerufen - wieder herumgesucht, schlußendlich auch gefunden. Später mit DJ nochmal hin. Kannte den Ort noch gar nicht obwohl dort ganz in der Nähe wohne.

My second cache today and the second time that the previous logs left me puzzled.

When I read the cache description yesterday night, I had an idea about which location the secret message in the bottle might talk about. I have to admit, however, that I still do not understand the full message and I based my hypothesis only on some aspects of the message and thought that I might give it a try at one of my next bike rides to the north. As the weather turned out to be surprisingly nice today and I was eager to get out into the fresh air after several days where the weather was terrible, I decided to visit this cache right after my success at the new beer cache of juliewood_rabat. (I would have liked to visit the Rapunzel cache as well, but I have to wait until that cache has been moved to have a chance to reach it.)

When I arrived at my candidate location, I started to cast doubts about my theory as my first attempt to arrive at the direction, led me to bogus. Moreover, I was not sure at all what kind of bars I was expected to count and the word "tendency" in the cache description even increased my doubts (as my interpretation of the meaning of this word apparently did not make any sense at the place where I was standing).

Fortunately there was a hint relating to the computation of the distance and this hint made me realize that my mathematical mind had led me to a completely different understand of the expression for the direction than intended by the cache hiders. I stayed sceptical about the correctness of my candidate location, however, as I then made a silly mistake which still led me to a bogus direction. Finally I found my mistake, and then everything went well.

As I was not sure about the distance, I decided to walk into the direction given in the description and have a look at promising hiding places. To speed up the search, I also had a look at the hint as I was not sure whether the hiders had measured the bearing by means of a magnetic compass or by means of a GPS (the reception is not that impressive near the cache location). With this type of approach I found the cache very quickly. In my opinion, the bearing is correct (up to some inaccuracy which is normal in such measurements - I was not ambitious to measure the value up to single degrees as there was no reason to do so and I read DJ58's log only thereafter). I do not understand how DJ could arrive at a deviation of 30 degrees!

The cache is in good condition, but unfortunately it still does not contain a pencil. Although I was rather sure not to be the first at the cache, I had brough a pencil, but I turned out to be too long and I did not have my knife with me because today I did not have my hiking knapsack with me, but a smaller one which is more convenient to be used on bike rides. I had expected a slightly larger micro taking into account the target area.

Thanks for leading me again to a nice place - I believe I have been there before at least once although I do not have any recollection, maybe I even missed the location while being concentrated with something else. In any case, today was the first time that I actively noticed the location.
I also liked the creative way in which the cache description is made up although I was not able to understand the message text in full detail (which turned out to be not a prerequisite). This is yet another WSB-TLU cache that I enjoyed very much.

I have no idea at all which type of special knowledge DJ58 alludes to in his log when he mentions the help he got from j_blue. In any case, I can assure future searchers of the cache that I am not in the possession of
any special knowledge which is connected to this cache. From my point of view, some knowledge of English and German and a map which might be helpful to visit the cache location suffice to find this cache.

2 Stunden nach j_blue mit ihrer Mithilfe gefunden. Mir ist nicht ganz klar, wie man die Stäbe zählen soll (die horizontalen scheinen wir anders gezählt zu haben als die Owners), daher haben die Meter nicht ganz gepasst. Auch was die Richtung betrifft stimmte diese mit meinem Kompass nicht ganz überein - das ist aber das kleinere Problem, da es nur um ein paar Grad (30 oder so) Differenz ging. Problematischer war die Meterangabe, die mich einfach nicht richtig suchen ließ.
Das Rätsel wäre für mich imo aber unmöglich zu lösen gewesen. Den richtigen Denkanstoß konnte mir jblue geben, die auf zweierlei Weise einen kleinen Heimvorteil hatte.

Die Idee ist zwar gut, aber ob da Leute drauf kommen, die nicht "vom Fach" sind? - Let's see!
