Found 13 May 2007 Chiroptera found the geocache

Chiroptera

At first: We loved this cache really very much. The whole tour was done in about 4 hrs (with an excellent break in between). During the walk we saw a little bit of snow and a lot of spring-flowers. The area was unknown to us, but perfect for hiking! Due to our fault (a calculation-mistake), we did a short detour. The cache was found after a short search. We logged at 1545hrs. To stage 6: it seems that somebody wants to renovate the building. We saw some people there and at the entrance there was a sign saying "Baubüro"... :o .

thx very much for this cache!

Found 18 November 2006 Gavriel found the geocache

To our amazement the elevation was high enough to get above the fog today. Ad "ad fontem" it would not be very wise to follow the green way-marks , because the red marks will lead you on [;)].
In the cave bats are sleeping (there was at least one in the upper region), creeping around everywhere is just the thing that should not be done during winter.
Typing false coordinates into the GPS led to a shortcut on a much better path than heading back to the main track from the cave. And without that mistake we would not have seen the strange rabies-tree nearby [;)]. Luckily most trees can't run.

The sanatorium is a weird place. It must started falling apart long before it was finally deserted.
If you want to play russian bowling you have to bring your own cord and a bowl (the original one is broken) [:)]

Out: Camel
In: six-sided rather useless thing

thx, Gavriel & Mike

Found 08 November 2006 M.W. found the geocache

We have been thinking about hiding a cache in this very familiar area a time ago, but of course GPearl has worked it out much better.
Four days ago we stopped the hunt at the cave, due to the lack of time and returned to the car in darkness and snowfall.
Today I continued very early (at least for me) and enjoyed the pleasant hike on this very warm and sunny day.
The Sanatorium is a really morbid lost place, looking through the windows you can still see plates and magazines on the tables, as if the inhabitants have left within a very short time. Unfortunately I didn´t find a way to enter, at least without using a tool.
The box finally was easy to find (I really wonder why Waxo has failed) even though I believe the day will come when the whole hiding place will come apart.
In Drachmen 100.- and a sharpener
Out Tolar 10.-

Thx a lot for yet another great cache, W
