Stationen 1-2 waren sonnenklar. Stage4: Wo is da ein Tier?

All stages are accessible and visible even in winter, except stage 3 *during* snowfall.
Increase terrain rating a little in case of snow cover.
Stages, Micros and Final in good condition

Hallo miteinander

21 October 2007 cezanne found the geocache
Contrary to my original plans to delay a second visit to this cache for a longer time, I decided to revisit it today.
I have to admit that by sticking to follow the hint for Stage 6, I would not have found the micro at that Stage. I guess that without the hint that misled me, I would have found the micro already yesterday, but still after a long search as the micro is well hidden. Thanks to a comment of aj-gps in reply to a mail where I thanked him for a comment of him some days ago that made it easier for me yesterday to find a safe way back to my car, I realized that my interpretation of the hint differs from the interpretation of the hiders of the cache.
To make things more interesting, I chose today a new approach to Stage 6 which was longer than necessary, but I wanted to explore a path that was shown on the AMAP. After having arrived at Stage 6 after a nice walk, I found the micro relatively quickly. As a kind of irony of fate, I realized that the coordinates sent me to the place I had passed by accident yesterday. I even had thought of this place as a possible location for the cache and even had had a quick look at the place. Due to the fact that it seemed unlikely to me that the cache had been hidden at this place (one of the icons misled me) and due to the fact that there were other people around, my search was only half-hearted and short. I was very close to the cache already yesterday, in any case, closer than 0.5 meters. I have to admit that personally I would have preferred a different hideout, but that's certainly a matter of taste.
I suggest to either increase the difficulty rating of this cache (2* is quite low) or to provide further help (spoiler photographs for the hideouts of the micros or modified hints which restrict the number of possible hideouts) for those cachers who start this cache because they wish to go for a nice walk and who are misled by the low difficulty rating and are not prepared to lengthy searches.
Thank you for hiding this cache in a nice area. As I already wrote in my previous log, I enjoyed the part of the walk which did not lead along tarmac roads very much. With a little bit more help for finding the micros (the hint for the final cache is sufficiently helpful to speed up the search if other people are around), this cache would be ideally suited as a cache for cachers who wish to go for a nice, short walk.
I have often passed by some of the stages by bike, but have never before explored the floodplain forest part near Werndorf. Hopefully this area will not be destroyed in the future by the construction of further power stations.
No trade
PS: I feel that the "wading required icon" is misleading.
20 October 2007 cezanne did not find the geoacache
Normally I prefer to approach caches like this one by bicycle. As the weather looked quite unstable when I left and since the wading icon made me wonder how large the chances are that I would end up with wet feet, I decided to take the car.
I parked at the suggested coordinates and walked to Stage 1. There two girls were around a strange cat - they somehow attracted my attention so that I forgot to have a look for B. I realized my mistake on my way to Stage 2 (at the point where I needed to determine C which took me a while) and went back. Although I started to drizzle, I wished I would have a bike at my disposition. After my second visit I went to Stage 2. The tasks at Stages 2 up to 4 were quickly solved. I enjoyed the walk from Stage 4 to Stage 5 and further on to Stage 6. To my surprise I found the micro at Stage 5 quickly because it is hidden at a characteristic place (I am not sure, however, if the hint is fully correct, but as I did not need it, I did not care.)
At Stage 6 I searched around for quite some time. The reception was very jumpy and there were many objects that needed to be looked at. The hint did not help me and I have to admit that I was not even sure how to interpret it (apart from the fact that I would have preferred a hint telling me something about the object to be searched for). Within the radius to which my GPS-r sent me the most often, I could not a find a micro. I investigated most likely locations several times, but still failed.
After a much longer period than I normally like to spend for searching for a single stage of a multi-cache (more than 30 minutes), I finally gave up. My motivation for finding Stage 6 came from the help it would have provided to me to find a reasonable way back to the starting point. Fortunately, I was lucky and found a way that was manageable for me though a bit challenging at some point to get back into civilization.
I enjoyed the walk, but did not enjoy at all the search at Stage 6 which appeared to me like searching a needle in a haystack. This is definitely not the aspect of geocaching that I like.

Used this nice day to go for this cache. Approached via bike(high)way R2 and left the bike at stage 4, but I'd recommend to leave it at stage 3. If you are able to carry your bike for a few meters it would also be possible to take it with you for the whole cache tour.
At stage 5 I searched for a long time with quite a jumpy reception, but after calling Schuhhirsch it turned out that I was looking at the wrong (lower) object mentioned in the hint. Stage 6 was also well hidden, and the final ... well, I don't know but I think I am too stupid to locate such a box there, even though the coordinates were as accurate as possible given the hiding place. As today wasn't the best day for taking the location apart I gave Schuhhirsch another call and with some hint the box was then quickly found (and I'm sure that I already had a look there).
Thanks for this nice cache that's reachable by bike and within my usual biking distance .
