The shortest distance between the points and the treasure is about 5 km. In this part the “Schauinsland” is a natural preserve. Please stay on the pedestrian walkways. Sturdy shoes and clothes that fit to the weather are recommended.

So come on up: The route is simple, a bus and a tram is all you need: just take tram no. 2 direction Gunterstal to the last stop, then change to bus 21 which takes you directly to the base station. Getting there takes approximately 20 minutes from Bertoldsbrunnen – and from then on, it is up and away. At the base station free parking is available for cars and buses.

The cable car travel time of the “Schauinslandbahn” is not includes into the indicated duration of the hike. The indicated hiking time is an approximation. Trained and experienced hikers might walk for an hour, families with kids up to four hours.
