Fu progettata negli anni ‘20 per essere un “albergo diurno”!
Questa tipologia può essere paragonata ad un micro centro commerciale per viaggiatori, localizzato vicino alle ferrovie e ai moderni mezzi pubblici. A Trento il progetto prevedeva i servizi igienici nel seminterrato, uno spazio per le orchestre sotto la loggia verso il parco (poi demolita)e nei vani laterali il barbiere e lo spaccio dei giornali.
Un bellissimo esempio di albergo diurno, che rimane ancora integro negli interni e nelle decorazioni si trova a Milano, ed è realizzato a livello della Metro.
