WebCam - St. Anthony

This lovely Cornish webcam is located at Gillan Creek where the Helford River joins Falmouth Bay on the Lizard Peninsula in South Cornwall. The South West Coast Path runs along both shores of Gillan Harbour, and crosses Gillan Creek on stepping stones which are  only passable at low tide. The coast path then goes around Dennis Head and leaves the parish on the south shore of the Helford River. 
St Anthony-in-Meneage is in the Cornwall Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Many people dont realise that almost a third of Cornwall has the area of outstanding beauty designation and this has the same status and protection as a National Park. 
This area of Cornwall is possibly unique in the whole of England as it offers such a wide variety of landscape in a comparatively small area. There are the flat wild moorlands of Goonhilly Downs, the gentle wooded creeks of the Helford River alon with hidden farming valleys, quiet and pretty fishing villages, towering cliffs and sandy beaches too, all within this area of Cornwall.
