Description Deutsch · English
On a walk through the old town of Augsburg you can admire some nice, partially very old pub signs.
The length of walk is approximately 3 km. It takes about one hour.
Depending on how often you visit an inn on your walk, it can take considerably longer time.
It is advisable, to make this cache not by bicycle, but on foot, because on the way you will have to overcome a long, steep stair.
Best of all you make it exclusively on Sundays or holidays or later in the evening! On workdays during shopping times the Muggle density at the final may be extremly high, so that it could be impossibel to catch the box unobserved.
It is very hard to find parking places in the city. Best of all you come with public means of transportation:
to the stop "Rotes Tor" with the tram lines 2, 3 or 6 or to the stop "Margaret" with the bus routes 22, 32 or 35.
Task:
The waypoint list provides a route through the old town which you have to follow exactly in the given order through streets and lanes. On Your walk you will pass many nice pub signs. Compare each pub sign with the following photos.
Whenever you find a pub sign which is shown on one of the photos, you have to answer a question which refers to the accompanying inn.
Exactly pay attention to the order in which you find the pub signs. The order of the photos is not relevant at all.
In order to optimize the print page, you should print the listing via [print... > without logs].
Page adjustment: "reduce to page size" or "adapt to size".
Page margins: top, left, right = 5 mm, bottom = 13 mm

2. pub sign: B =
If you eliminate the first both letters of the name of this inn and insert another letter elsewhere, you will get the name of a warfare agent.

3. pub sign: C =
Note: This sign has currently been removed. That's why I'm telling you the name of the restaurant here. It's called "Berghütte".
If you eliminate some letters at the end of the name of this inn, you will get an object which is very dangerous for ships.
C = Value of the last letter of this object.
4. pub sign: D =
The house where this pub sign is mounted has no number plate. Which house number should this house have?
D = missing house number.
5. pub sign: E =
If you eliminate several letters of the name of this inn, you will get a synonym of pain.
E = Value of the second letter of this synonym.
Sorry, the distance to the next pub sign is a little bit greater (approx. 600m).
6. pub sign: F =
Interchange the letters of the second part of the name of this inn (anagram) so that you get a part of a car.

7. pub sign: G =

F = Number of the letters of this name.
8. pub sign: H =

19 December 2023, 13:40 Bierfilz found the geocache

21 June 2021 drfaust found the geocache
Irgendwie geht man da immer achtlos daran vorbei.
