Multitier Cache

A walk of about 7 km on paved pathways with nice distant views. Except for the last few meters to the cache it's suitable also for strollers and wheelchairs, presumed you have enough power to manage the altitude difference of about 80 m.

For answering the questions you definitly need the above picture with the animals. Some of the animals has to be assigned to the waypoints.

To prevent obscurities please read the following hints:

• Takes care of the operator preceedence rules, i.e. "*", "/" before "+" and "-".
• In case of one- or two-digit results you should pad the results with leading zeros to a three-digit number, e.g. 17 -> 017.

Let's go: You can park your car near the Venwegen cemetary at N 50° 42.808 E 006° 12.860. Alternatively you can take the AVV bus line 61, 67 or 68 up to the bus stop "Venwegen / Kirche (church)".

WP1: Near by the parking place at N 50° 42.809 E 006° 12.856 you'll find the hint for the first animal. You'll see only a small part of the animal. Search for the matching animal in the picture above and note down the number nearby the animal on the picture as "A".

Go on to WP2 at N 50° 42.(A*120+32) E 006° 12.(A*50+32). Looking around you'll detect a unique indication for the next animal. "B" is the animals' number on the picture and "C" is the number you cannot lose sight of on location. Hint: Indication for the animal and the number are closely connected.

At N 50° 42.(B*(C-2)) E 006° 12.(C-A-2) you reach WP3 where you can listen to and see a lot of lively animals. But there are also some dumb representatives of a similar species, custom made of clay. "D" is the number of the animal in the picture and "E" is the quantity of the animals on location.

Now we come to one of the highlights for foreign visitors (sorry, just a joke). Midst of a picturesque ensemble of lovely figures at WP4 N 50° 42.(A*C*D+E*20+D) E 006° 11.(A*C*E+D*100) you'll see another animal serving as flower pot. On the picture this animal is labeled with "F".

The uphill path leads us to the strenuous part of the walk. By the wayside at WP5 N 50° 42.(E*E*F+A) E 006° 11.(E*E*F*F+C-8) the animal for number "G" is waiting for you.

At WP6 N 50° 41.(A*F*F+C+(G+1)*D) E 006° 11.(A*A*(2*B+E)) you can take a breather and search for the animal telling you "H". 

On a sign near WP7 N 50° 41.((H+3)*32+B) E 006° 12.(A*B-C-F) there's written an advice for the animal "I". Sorry, for this one you have to know the German word for this animal.

A hint on the last wanted animal you'll find at WP8 N 50° 42.(F*I+B*E-D) E 006° 12.((A+C)*I-G). Knowing the animal you'll also know  "J".

Well, now it isn't far to the cache which you may search at N 50° 42.(B*J+D*E*I) E 006° 12.(I*J*(A-G)-C+D). Good luck!

After enjoyment of the nice view near the cache you can walk on comfortable back to car or bus.
