Altmühltaler Felsenlabyrinth

Our first cache to hide. So we decided to chose a special
place with spetecular views in a protected area. It is like an
enchanted forest in a fairy tale. Enormous jurassic coral reefs are
characteristic for the trail. They are the result from a warm,
tropical ocean which once covered South Germany.

Be careful: It is not allowed to hike in the protected area by
night, snow, ice and storm. Children have to be accompanied by
their parents. Hiking boots are helpful. In rain it could be
slippery.

Parking: N 48° 56.878, E 11° 44.326

Close to the parking spot there is a little chapel. At what date
was the chapel erected? c= 2nd and 3rd digit of the date (c has two
digits).

Which trees dominate the protected area?
spruce (Fichte): a=4
lime / linden tree (Linde): a=6
beech tree (Buche): a=5

Follow the path until you find mossy stairs. They lead into the
heart of the protected area. How many stilts has the handrail?

Climb up the viewpoint. Here you have spectacular views.
How many windows has the donjon (tower) of Prun Castle?

Look at the wooden marking of the summit: There are how many big

Test: The total of all needed digits is 124.

Continue the walking trail: If you like to go on the beautiful
walking trail, go to: N 48° 57.009, E 11° 43.412. At this point is
a steep dirt road down to the valley and the canal. Down in the
valley go right. After a while you will be back at your car.
