You will walk about 7 km (4.3 miles) on the 25 km available forest tracks in the Fürther Stadtwald. You will find 14 stages (including the final), which will take about 2 or three hours.

Besides your GPSr you should bring along: beverages, a compass, raw spaghettis and/or salad and a cucumber. A pocket calculator will be helpful. Feel free to use the "table of found letters" at the end of this description to note all the numbers you will find.

A remark about the calculations: You have to calculate in the mathematic correct order, which means: multiplication before addition and subtraction. Most pocket calculators do this automatically.
On different stations you will have to calculate the numbers xxx and yyy, which always give the position after the decimal point of the coordinate minutes. Should a result have less than 3 digits, you have to fill it with zero on the left side. Example: If a calculation should give you the result 87, then xxx will be: 087.
The asterisk * in this description is always the symbol for multiplication, for example: A * B means: A times B.

But now let's start with the cache. You can park at: N49° 27.868  E010° 56.931, which is about 300 meters away from stage 1. Then go to stage 1, which coordinates you'll see in the header. All the stages are designed as a loop, so you should visit the stages in the given order.

Stage 1: (N49° 27,828 / E010° 56,776)
Give spaghetti, salad and cucumber to the animals that are living here. On a sign you can read the date when the park was built up. It was on AB. September 19CD. Then count the wild pigs and calculate the cross foot of the counted number, until it has only one digit left. This digit is E. Now calculate the coordinates of stage 2:
xxx = 100 * C + 10 * D + 4 * B + 7 * A
yyy = 17 * C + (A + B) * D * 10

Stage 2:
At the outside, search for the next values for xxx and yyy. Then go on to stage 3 which is located at: N49° 27.xxx  E010° 56.yyy

Stage 3:
Close to a traffic sign is a small, blue sign "Wasser" which carries two numbers.
Upper (right) number: The digit left to the comma is F. Add 1 to the digit after the comma to get I. Add 1 to I to get H.
The lower number on the blue sign is J,G.
Now calculate:
xxx = 300 * J + 9 * (G - F)
yyy = G * H + I - B - A
Then go to stage 4 at: N49° 28.xxx  E010° 56.yyy.

Stage 4:
Count the number of windows of the building. This number is K. How many colors has the emblem of the society located here? The number of colors is L. Now calculate:
xxx = K * C + F + G - L
yyy = 70 * (D + H) + F * L * B + 2 * A
Then go to stage 5 at: N49° 28.xxx  E010° 55.yyy

Station 5
For which time of sunrise is the bird clock tuned? Answer: M:NO. Now calculate:
xxx = 900 * J + 2 * G + 5 * N + 2 * M
yyy = 45 * (M + F + C) + 10 * (M + N) + L + G
Go on to stage 6 at: N49° 28.xxx  E010° 55.yyy

Stage 6:
Where geomuggles step over, geocachers should find xxx and yyy beneath. These will lead you to stage 7 at: N49° 28.xxx  E010° 55.yyy

Stage 7:
There are 5 signs, from which you only need the upper right blue one. The number at the botton of this sign is: Q,R. The first digit of the biggest number is P.
Go on to stage 8 at: N49° 28.ARO  E010° 55.NKQ

Stage 8:
You will find the next hint inside. It will lead you to stage 9.

Stage 9
Search for a direction sign with several names of locations and distances. Then calculate the following theree numbers:
S = Cadolzburg
T = Wintersdorf + Rangaublick
U = Burgfarrnbach - Felsenkeller - Rangaublick
Go on to stage 10 at: N49° 27.TSI E010° 55.NSD

Stage 10:
Look for the coordinates of stage 11 here.

Stage 11:
Although a traffic sign bans several motor vehicles on the one side, it will tell you the value for the letter V on the other side. Go on to stage 12 at: N49° 27.VSI  E010° 56.BTL

Stage 12:
The backside of a bench will tell you the values for W and X. Then calculate:
xxx = W * X * V * Q - M * G
yyy = 60 * X + W - U
and go to Stage 13 at: N49° 27.xxx  E010° 56.yyy

Stage 13:
Use the same procedure than at stage 12 and get the values for Y and Z.
Now you got the wild boar alphabet complete and are able to calculate the position of the final cache. You will find the cache at N49° 27.xxx  E010° 56.yyy. Calculate the values for xxx and yyy with the values you found for the letters A through Z as follows:
xxx = (P + 22) * (C + F + H + J + L - N + Q - T + V + X) + U + 36
yyy = B * (A + D + G + I + K + M + R + S + U + W + Y + Z) + 477

Stage 14 - Finale
Look for a typical geocache hiding place.
