Buchenbachtal

Before opening out into the river Murr, the Buchenbach is running through this scenic valley below Wolfsölden, a part of Affalterbach.

A good place to park your car is at N48 55.316 E9 21.222. From here it's only about 600m to the Cache, first through a residential area, then over a pretty bumpy forest path.

But if you want, you can also start a little round trip throught the Buchenbach valley and search for the cache when passing it on your way back.

The walk leads through the small village Wolfsölden on the "Hauptstaße" and down to the valley on the "Mühlenweg". At N48 55.474 E9 21.608 you have to decide whether to go and look for the cache now or continue the trip, because after this point it gets even more scenic and the path gets quite adventurous. At N48 55.478 E9 21.558 a short path leads through the dense vegetation to a wide meadow and you can now cross the Buchenbach over small stone bridges. On it goes over meadows until you pass the Buchenbach on a small stone ledge. You definitely sturdy shoes here! It's up to you now how far you want to walk on: after a few hundred meters you can gaze at an old railway bridge high above you, but after that it's really time to turn around and search for the cache.
