It's not bound do a fixed location, but can be solved at various places.

In May 2000, Dave Ulmer placed a box containing several swap items near Portland and published the coordinates of the place on a private internet site - the first geocache was created. So, in May 2015, geocaching celebrated its 15 year anniversary - reason enough to care about the world before the invention of this great hobby and to document the changes which took place since then.
In order to log this safari, you need a historical photo. In this context, "historical" means, that the photo should have been taken sometimes before geocaching was invented. So everything up to 1999 is ok, but the pictures may also be older. The older, the better...
Your task:
- Go to the position where the historical photo was taken.
- There, you take a photo with the same perspective as on the historical photo. Your photo should show that you have been there personally, so it should show a personal item, a trackable or yourself.
- If possible, tell us the year when the historical photo was taken.
- Describe, what we can see on both pictures. Describe the changes. Are there any special buildings, trees, rocks etc. which can be seen on both pictures?
- Add the coordinates of your position to your log entry, formatted like "N/S DD MM.MMM E/W DDD MM.MMM".
- Optionally, tell us if something special related to geocaching happened near to the position.
Since geocaching is an outdoor hobby, the pictures should be taken outdoor. Landscape, buildings, nature is ok.
You don't need to use a historical picture which was taken by yourself. If you use a picture taken by somebody else, please make sure that you are allowed to use it here. If you are unsure, just put the link to the historical picture in your log and only upload your own picture here.

Please use this format for your coordinates when writing the log:
"N/S DD MM.MMM E/W DDD MM.MMM" (e.g. "N 48 00.000 E 008 00.000"),
to enable the
safari cache map
to recognize and parse your log correctly!

Das Motiv für den Safari-Cache ** SVC: 15 Jahre Geocaching - Ein Blick in die Vergangenheit ** habe ich nach langer Suche und einem weiten Fussmarsch hier gefunden:
Koords: N47° 40.082 E11° 12.525
Bei einer Cachetour in Murnau führte eine LAB-Runde durch den Seidl Park und dort gibt es an mehreren Stellen historische Fotos und Infos zum Gezeigten.
Die gelistete Koordinate ist der Standpunkt der Aufnahme beim Freundschaftshügel. Die Erklärungen und Aufnahmedaten sind bei den jeweiligen historischen Fotos aufgeführt.

Nach einigen geloggten Safari-Caches habe ich festgestellt, dass ich manche Aufgabenstellungen falsch verstehe, oder nicht im Sinne der Owner umsetze. Sollte mein Log daher nicht passen, bitte einfach löschen :-).

Das Foto zeigt die Schule in unserem Dorf Theuma im sächsischen Vogtland. Als Dorfschule gegründet war sie später Polytechnische Oberschule. Heute gibt es dort nur noch eine Grundschule.

Am Leopoltsplatz in Pforzheim
Befand sich das 1925 erbaute sog. Industriehaus mit der ständigen Musterausstellung der Schmuckindustrie.
2003 wurde das Gebäude abgerissen. Es wurde ein äußerlich an das Original erinnernder Neubau errichtet, der in seinem Inneren die Schmuckwelten Pforzheim (Erlebniswelt rund um das Thema Schmuck und Uhren auf 4000 m²) sowie im Untergeschoss das Pforzheimer Mineralienmuseum mit über 5000 Exponaten enthält.
Das historische Foto befindet sich auf der Infotafel vor dem Gebäude, in der Nähe bei
N 48 53.505 E 008 41.940
entstand unser heutiges Bild.

Das Deutsche Haus in Flensburg.
Es wurde nicht, wie häufig angenommen, von „denen“ ab 1933 gebaut. 1930 fertig gestellt, wurde es der Stadt Flensburg von dem deutschen Staat geschenkt, als Dank dafür, dass die Stadt 1920 für Deutschland gestimmt hatte.
Ja, es gab 1920 nach dem ersten Weltkrieg tatsächlich eine Abstimmung zu welchem Staat die Grenzregion gehören möchte, Dänemark oder Deutschland.
Das Bild wurde von einem Bahndamm aus gemacht. Die originale Stelle konnte ich nicht nehmen, da kommt man nicht ran, die Bäume sind ein wenig gewachsen.
Das genaue Jahr konnte ich auch nicht feststellen, im Netz habe ich ein ähnliches Bild gefunden, das aus dem Jahr 1961 stammt.

Die bauliche Anordnung der Gebäude am Anfang der Brücke sehen erstaunlich ähnlich denen von heute aus. Die Konzertbühne auf der linken Seite im historischen Foto ist komplett durch ein baugleiches Haus der rechten Seite ersetzt wurden.
Viele Grüße und Spass beim selbst vergleichen. Sellin ist jedenfalls einen Besuch wert!
