After Frodo received Gandalfs letter from Barliman Butterbur, the owner of the prancing pony, he and his followers started their journey to Rivendell. When they arrived at Weathertop they made camp at N 49° 59,393 E 007° 51,560. Strider went away scouting. While he was gone the friends heard strange noises. Frodo climbed up to the top of their pit and saw that Nazgul where storming toward them. Frodo wrote a note to Strider and placed it on the place they decided for emergencies. When Strider came back he found the camp deserted. He found Frodo's note and hurried after his friends. Out of good fortune, Strider teached Frodo to use the language Tengwar by Måns Björkman, which he used for his notes. Strider followed the Ring bearer and came to a path leading uphill. Was there a Troll camping at the side of his way? No that could not be possible, Trolls wouldn't dare to take camp so close to Weathertop. It was only a hermit who has no complaint if Strider uses this path. When Strider reached the point mentioned in Frodos note he heard noises from above. Orks came stumpling along so Strider took cover beneath an overhanging rock. By luck his friends must have been here to, Strider found a note under the rock. After the Orks went away, Strider followed Frodo's note over the ways, covered with debris the Nazgul had left in there trace. At the top of the hill he reached a monolith. On one side Strider found a 4 digit number which he memorized. But there must be more where should he go from here on? after a short search he found a nother note which brought him further where he suddenly thought to have a vision, was that Bill, Sam's pony? No that could not be, it looked close but ..., he followed the beast and after a few strides he saw it again. Surely the beast had a note waiting for him. Strider knew that his friends must be near now. Hastily he followed the path until he came to an aprupt gorge. What was shining down there? Could that be Frodos ring? No it was an amulet which belonged to Sam. Strider took the amulett to find a message left by Sam. Soon after Strider could hear the cries of the Nazgl. He hurried forward to reach his friends. Strider was able to chase away the Nazgl with his sword Andúril, the sword that was broken, but found Frodo badly wounded by the King of the Nazgl jammed in a cravice. Otherwise no one was hurt and he could take care of Frodos wounds.
