From here you can see the Austrian flag on top of the southern Tower above you - somewhere up there the cache is hidden.
To get to the top, there are several posibilities::
- Gösserkante IV+ (in german)
- Gösser southern ridge II+ (start at the end of the scree-slope south of the tower)
- follow the street 150m in the dircetion of Passail, turn right and follow the path until it reaches a wooded plateau, then right again on another path that leads you around and on top of the rockface. Soon you´ll see a gap between the mountain and the northern tower. Climb down into this gap (5m easy climb but a bit exposed). You can start your search as soon as you go down into the place between the towers and the rockface of the Gösser-mountain.
- Go up through the steep scree-slope south of the two Towers, then pathless through very steep wood until you reach a rocky ridge where a fixed rope helps you descent this obstacle. Now you just have to cross horizontally to the northern Tower, where you can start your search.
The cache is hidden in a cave in the rockbody of the northern Tower. Bad GPS-Reception, but the hiding place should be obvious.
Good shoes, a bit of climbing experience are all you need for this cache. You´ll have to be free of giddiness as well. Check hand- and footholds before you put your weight on them - the paths in this part of the mountain are seldom used. Time needed for the cache: about 45 min.

Bin mit dem
Cachemobil zum Parkplatz Rucksack um, über Variante 4 hinauf (kein
Partner für Variante 1+2) - Versicherung recht schnell gefunden - oben
angekommen habe ich den Cache schnell gefunden, während dem loggen
mind. 15 ZECKEN entfernt (des war recht stressig) - Dann noch schnell
zu Fahne (Digicam Akku leer - SUPA!) Runter über snowsurfer´s Variante
- Abseilpiste! Unten angekommen, ab nach Hause Zecken abduschen, und
dann wieder weiter zu "Gut, besser, ..."
Lässiger Cache, dass
einziges Manko sind die losen Steine beim Aufstieg die sind sehr
gefährlich für die Benutzer der Straße - also aufpassen!

Toller Aussichtscache. Mein Weg und meine Empfehlung für all jene, denen die angegebenen Varianten zu schwierig oder zu gefährlich sind: Aufstieg nach Variante 3, jedoch nicht direkt zu den Türmen absteigen, da dies ohne Sicherung mE. wirklich zu riskant ist, sondern weiterstiefeln bis N47 14.952 E15 31.855, wo die Geröllroute aus Variante 4 gipfelt. Dort 50m runterrutschen und man kommt praktisch direkt bei den Türmen zum Stillstand.

Nach dem wohl verdienten Mittagessen beim Wirtn ging die Mädchenbande "Gut, Besser,..." an und Dr. Torque, Hefi und Waldschrat T. beschloßen Gösser Alpin zu erklimmen. Dieser Cache brachte Waldschrat T. menschlich um einiges weiter und verminderte seine Angstschwelle vorm Bergsteigen (eigentlich eher Kraxeln) ungemein. Nachdem bei der Schlüßelstelle der innere Schweinehund mithilfe von Dr. T. und Hefi´s anfeuernden Zurufen überwunden war gings gemsengleich weiter dem Gipfel entgegen. Von dort ging es flott zum Versteck und mit stolzgeschwellter Brust loggte Waldschrat T. seinen Besuch.
Danke Schorsch für diesen schönen Cache, der Ausblick beim Gipfel ist sensationell.
