Almtaler Sonnenuhr - 9
The huge limestone peaks between Rotgschirr and the Woising , served the Almtaler farmers once as a natural sun- chronometer.
As an entry point you can start from the Röllsattel ( approx 1755m ) about half an hour before (or after ... its on your side) Pühringerhütte.
. Coming from Almsee you follow the Sepp-Hubersteig approximatly 1100m in altitude to the Startingpoint Röllsattel.
From Schachen (Grundlsee) it should be nearly the same amount of time (3-4h) to the startingpoint.
Between Röllsattel and Grießkarscharte (start of ascending Großer Rabenstein/Zwölferkogel) there is no marked trail!
From the final part -Zwölferkogel- you can follow the Grießkarsteig down back to Almsee (Ropes,Ladders and some Snowgliding will wait for you) .
However, if you are lucky you will find a few Cairn (starting some meters below the sign Pühringerhütte-30 min.) which lead you roughly to the right direction.
On gpsies.com you can find a track to Neunerkogel, which can serve as an orientation.
Note here the Variable NEUN ...you need it for ASU 11-erkogel
