Description
This Geocache is hidden next to a path that lesds to the old christian monastery Deir Mar-Musa Al-Habashi. The Monastery of Saint Moses the Abyssinian (which is the english name of it) is part of the Syriac Catholic Church and its main church features frescos dating back to the 11th and 12th centrury. The foundations of the monastery even date back to the roman time when this used to be a watchtower. For a long time, this monastery was also completely vacant, until it was revived by the italian Jesuit Father Paolo Dall'Oglio in 1982.
The Cache is hidden in a crack next to the path leading up to the monastery. See the pictures for more help. Coordinates may be a bit off. The satellite reception here was not very good.
