Description
Tigman is a barangay belonging to the Municipality of Aborlan. It is located on the southeast coast of the island of Palawan and borders the Sulu Sea.
The picturesque, small town has about 1,900 inhabitants who live mainly from agriculture (rice cultivation, copra production) and fishing.
Tigman is surrounded by several palm-fringed beaches totaling around 2.5 km in length. There are currently two tourist resorts, "Sulu Sea Pearl" and "Sea Eagle".
There are various possibilities for excursions from Tigman, e.g. to the Estrella Falls at the foot of the Victoria Masiv and to the offshore islands of Arenas and Sombrero, both of which have a diverse underwater world.
Tigman is also suitable as a stopover for the onward journey to the west coast of Palawan, e.g. to visit the well-known Tabon Caves or as a springboard for onward travel to the deep south of the island.
