You are now standing in front of a memorial, which was erected out of gratitude and to commemorate Kazimierz Kwiatkowski. He was a Polish architect and conservator and practically forgotten in his homeland but a famous figure and respected in Vietnam. He worked there for many years, saving numerous monuments, that are now listed on UNESCO’s World Heritage List. He was largely responsible for restoring the architecure and buildings in the ancient city of Hoi An. With his work he brought back Hoi An to the world.

Auch hier musste der Kasimir... nein der Kai noch vorbei. Es fand sich auch ein kurzes Zeitfenster mit nicht so viel Regen. Trotzdem habe ich mich für das Foto richtig chic gemacht.
