Friedensbrücke

Ein Holzsteg, von dem nur bekannt ist, dass er nach einem kleinen Strohmarkt namens „Stroheck“ „Stroheckbrücke“ genannt wurde, war der erste Übergang, der hier den Donaukanal querte.

Auf der Friedensbrücke bzw. ihrer Vorgängerin verkehrte seit 1873 die Pferdetramway und verkehrt seit 1897 die erste elektrisch betriebene Straßenbahnlinie Wiens.

Die Promenade beidseits des Donaukanals ist heute sehr beliebt zum Joggen, Radfahren oder nur zum Spazieren. Daher besteht sehr großes Muggelaufkommen. Der Cache befindet sich entlang des Donaukanals Stromaufwärts.

Den Cachebehälter erst abnehmen und dann die Abdeckung behutsam hochheben! Bitte nach loggen genau so platzieren. Eigenen Stift mitbringen!

A boardwalk, which was named after a market for straw named "Stroheck" and former "Stroheckbrücke", was the first passage of the Donaukanal ("Danube Canal") at this place. On the "Friedensbrücke" and her parent bridge ran the tram powered by horses since 1873, since 1897 the first electric tram used this bridge for the crossing of the canal.

The promenade on both sides of the Channel is very popular for jogging, riding bikes or just to have a nice walk. Therefore there is a big appearance of Muggel. The cache is located besides the channel upriver.

First remove the cache container and then lift the cover carefully! Please place the cache exactly as you found it after the logging process. And don't forget to bring your own pen!
