Uxlemitanus' Stone

A long time ago a temple of the celtic weather-god Uxlemitanus was located at this place. Later Uxlemitanus was considered to be the same god as the Roman god Jupiter. The stone, a copy of which is standing here today, was founded by a roman citizen so it is also called Römerstein (Roman's stone) today.

To get to the cache drive to Brunn bei Fehring. Leave the highway A2 at exit Ilz/Fürstenfeld and follow the road to Riegersburg. There you can look for another cache . Continue driving in the direction of Hatzendorf/Fehring and you will soon arrive in Brunn. A few hundred meters later a sign saying 'Römerstein' will point up the hill on the right side.

The Roman's stone is located at the coordinates given in the header. You can drive your car right to the stone. Now behold the stone, read the explanation on the nearby sign and go to the point where the stone is 60m away in a direction of 174°. (approx. N46°57.299' E016°00.703', the reception is rather bad there.) That's where the cache is hidden between the roots of a tree.
