The mortuary cottage view
Here you will find a small, unimpressive but pretty nice viewpoint, also called mortuary cottage view because on the other side of the Elbe Valley you will see the small white Batzdorfer mortuary cottage which is well known due to many local myths.
Other than the meaning of mortuary cottage could imply the building has nothing in common with preservation of dead persons but it was used as a garden and lust house in the near of a vineyard.
The house is build in the 17th century and has a lower and upper floor that are connected via an corkscrew stair. Above the door you can see the emblem of the Miltitz family - the owners of the Batzdorfer castle.
