INDO-GERMAN intercultural Cache

Namaste! The ´Indo-German intercultural cache´ is the result of the common project work between Delhi Public School (DPS) in Navi Mumbai (India) and Hellenstein-Gymnasium (HG) in Heidenheim (Germany). A landmark of Indo-German partnership!

Our cache is the home of the travelbug „Indo-German Eye“ which is commuting between Germany and India!

Since 2009 we have been cultivating this student exchange which takes students of Hellenstein-Gymnasium to Mumbai and vice versa. There they have live in host families and attended school at DPS for three weeks during autumn. The following spring Indian students of DPS have come to Heidenheim for three weeks. Our exchange has been characterized by many experiences, adventures and emotions in the mutual very different cultures.

The geocache-project 2011 makes it possible to bring the close cooperation between the two schools and the two countries practically to life. The key to the cache is a combination of knowledge about India and of specific coordinates in Heidenheim! This is the particular challenge and the idea behind our ´INDO-GERMAN intercultural cache´: Whoever wants to find the cache in Heidenheim first should get an idea about Indian culture! Maja Karo!
