You can start to follow the story virtually everywhere in Vandans. For this reason, the length of the walk varies considerably. Those who prefer to drive to the location can park behind the chapel.

It is not required to walk to all the places mentioned in the story in order to find the cache.

  


Rosa Büxenburg changes the world

Rosa Büxenburg was the oldest and hence the most experienced resident in the bathroom cabinet of an Austrian family living in Vandans. She knew that her time as an impeccable bath salts container would soon be up, as she kept going lighter and lighter every week. By and by, the round box began to realise that this would also mean death for her. Many times she had to witness friends and neighbours from the bath room cabinet being squeezed and squashed violently by the family before disappearing forever. But this was not the way Rosa Büxenburg had intended to let her life end. Therefore, she fled from the family in a cloak-and-dagger operation. Exhausted from the escape, rolling down the mountain seemed to be the only way to get far away quickly. When she had reached the foot of the mountain, a strange noise grew louder and louder. *splash*, the box rolled into the rushing river, unable to come to a halt. Bobbing up and down in the water, she embraced the opportunity to get on easily and enjoyed her ride on the water until she was washed ashore on the left bank. There, the footpath next to the river rose into the woods, leading to a small chapel.
Even though the chapel seemed to be a comfortable new home for Rosa Büxenburg, just having escaped death, she remembered that her sole aim in life had always been to change the world. Not only by being the first box ever to choose her own destiny, but by making the world a better place for everyone. The little box trotted on for a few 100 m, crossed a bridge and passed a gate, when she suddenly noticed an offensive but distinctive smell. Without hesitation the box jumped at her chance and sprang open, rolling over the wet ground. The remaining grains of bath salts spread out on the wet ground, spreading their enchanting scent and covering the terrible smell forevermore.
Unable to put herself together again, Rosa Büxenburg lay there for quite some time, until one rainy day, a girl came by with her bicycle. She brought Rosa back to the warm and dry chapel, put her treasures into the box and closed it carefully. Finally, she got back on her bicycle and hid Rosa on the narrowest path leading back into the village not too far from the chapel behind an angular object.
Even though the girl visits Rosa Büxenburg regularly, she's still lonely and needs company...
