Judging

To conclude the easy beginning: How many Referees can be found in an NFL game? The answer gives you the „X“ in the east-coordinates.

The Stars

Which player ended the career of a quarterback by a regular tackle approximately 34 months after his Super Bowl victory? The plan to win back-to-back Super Bowls didn’t come true. The ‚Blitz‘ was stronger then the ‚Flea-Flicker‘.
Calculate the number of his jersey minus the the numbers of the next two players. The first player ended 12 out of 17 season with negative (!) rushing yards and still was one of the greatest ever at his position. He even caught one of his own passes for -6 yards.
The second number belongs to a player who the fans in Phillie would have loved to kick out of town rather then letting him play after being drafted by the Eagles. The player we are looking for here has been good though and brought many victories to town, but the love of the fans was to someone for whom another NFL team gave away all draft picks of that year (plus the 1st and 3rd rounder the next year!) to acquire him (first time in NFL history that happened). Eventually the fans were happy having their guy play. Maybe that’s because in this city heats going up while discussing sports...
The first player did throw a few passes in his carreer, so say he threw easily the distance between Miami and Ft. Lauderdale. For the second one that’s not decided yet. You just calculated „B“!

Covered in sweat

Here we are looking for a player who was wearing a sweatband on his head, with his sponsor’s name on it. Result of that was a fine by the Commissioner. Reaction of this player? The next game he came to play with another sweatband ... no, no advertising this time! Instead he had the name of the comissioner on it. Oh and by the way: He also managed to win a Super Bowl by himself and a second one as a backup. The ‚Y‘ is his number.

Busdriving Free Agent

Let’s go on with some other Super-Stars. The first prominent player here played in College and with two NFL-Teams - always with a different number. Funny about this is: His number in College and his number with his first NFL-Team can be added and become his number with the second NFL team! And to make it almost a conspirancy theory his nickname has the same number of letters as his number in college, while the number of letters in his nickname plus his first firstname and his lastname equals the number of his first NFL-Team!
Terry Bradshaw once called the Steelers endzone the „bus stop“. Which number made regular stops there?
Multiply this number with the number of the first guy with his second NFL-Team and you'll get „C“!

Age-Group Meeting

Final number is a year – we need the last two digits here. If you got that you will also know who was leading that class.
Hints for the year are:
a) Six „First-Round-Picks“
b) Four of them in the „Super-Bowl“
c) Even three made it to the „Hall of Fame“!
Put the number of the player ‚leading the class‘ in front of the year (two digits) and you will have „Z“.
