Lost Place: Bahnhof Fischbach

The railway line between Rosenheim and Kufstein was opened on 5.8.1858.

The village of Flintsbach wanted to get a railway station just like Brannenburg got one. But this railway station was considered to be to close to Brannenburg. Apart from this the quarries in Fischbach had an urgent need for a railway station to improve the transportation of their stones. So Flintsbach didn't get a railway station, but it was build in the part of Fischbach that belonged to Niederaudorf in those times.

Due to the municipal reform in 1972 Fischbach's parts south of the Markbach became a part of Flintsbach, just like the northern part always was.
At about the year 1990 the railway station in Fischbach was closed in the favour of a breakpoint in Flintsbach. Since then only the name "Bahnhofsplatz" and the missing number 1 remind one of the former railway station Fischbach (Inn)
