Austria North

Ein Cache in der Nähe lockte uns zum nördlichsten Punkt Österreichs. Hier an der Grenze wurden dann Fotos gemacht und wir hatten unseren Spaß dabei, dass jeder in einem anderen Land stand. Blöd nur, dass Bergfeuerjack auch meinen Ausweis noch in der Tasche hatte, aber zum Glück waren keinen Grenzer in der Nähe. Das Döschen hatten wir schnell entdeckt und das Logbuch trägt nun auch unsere Namen.

After a short cacheless detour to the Czech republic Austria's northernmost bridge brought us back from the northernmost point in Austria to our car. We refrained from going for the Tavuk cache as it would either have a meant a trip through the water or a longer detour not worth the other cache which is not that special.

It's a pity that the cache description does not contain information about the history of the bridge. When I encountered a golf playing allowed icon, I first thought that it is a joke before I realized that the area is an eldorado for golf players (of course not the forest around this cache).

I'm glad that the times of the iron curtain belong to the past. The many bicycle paths look tempting and not too hard.

The cache was quickly found as something attracted my attention while MoritzRabe was searching in more difficult terrain.

Nach einer kleinen cachefreien Abschweifung nach Tschechien bot sich diese Brücke für eine sichere Rückkehr an. TFTC

Am Weg zum nördlichsten Punkt Österreichs kam ich auch zu dieser Brücke. Die Dose konnte ich gut finden, sie hat ja recht oft Besuch ...
