Abkürzung

Kurzes Abstecher vom Jägersteigen. Hab ihn von oben geholt, bin mir aber nicht sicher, ob von unten nicht auch seinen Reiz gehabt hätte, wenn man bedenkt, wieviele Höhenmeter man von oben doppelt macht. Ich kenn allerdings die genauen Gegebenheiten unten zuwenig.

Mit dem Hint hatte ich so meine Probleme: Wenn "AB" eine Himmelsrichtung ist, dann passt die m.E. nicht mit dem Versteck zusammen.

Der 200er stand an und dafür wollte ich natürlich einen Cache der ein bisserl was hermacht. Also kein Betronmicro oder Hundeklo :-). Ein Gebu Cache ist da meist ein guter Ansatz, vor allem wenn man durch einen Abgeänderten Zugang ein wenig mehr würze hinzufügen kann. Los gings munter von der Teichalm über die Tyrnaueralm mit ein paar zusätzlichen Höhenmetern auf die Rote Wand. Etwa 300m horizontal und gute 150m vertikal vom Cache entfernt hab ich dann meine Begleitung an einem sonnigen Platzer geparkt und mich auf den Weg zur Abkürzung gemacht. Steil gings runter! Der Cache war bald gefunden und dann gings wieder ebenso steil Bergauf. Dabei hatte ich ein leichtes Deja-Vue was Ufos betrifft. Die Abwesenheit von Kühen hat das ganze noch ein wenig untermauert :-)

Aussicht vom 200er

had put this cache on the list "to do with Alice" as I wanted to at least have a look at the "short-cut" to the Rote Wand, but did not dare to do this alone as I am not all experienced in such terrain.

We parked a bit outside of the Rote Wand parking lot as the parking lot itself was already full due to our rather late starting time. Then we followed the standard route until the waypoint given in the description where the small path to the cache starts. I needed to use my hands a few times already in the last part up to the cache. With the help of the spoiler photograph the right location was quickly identified. The cache was easy to find and is in good condition. Perhaps one of the next finders can bring along an additional log sheet - there is, however, still place for several additional entries.

Due to Alice's expertise in path finding, she was able to find a route from the cache location up to the hiking path which was manageable also for me. There was some easy climbing involved, but these parts did not pose a problem even for someone like me. I would not like to climb up this route, however, when the ground is wet. I enjoyed this part of our hike very much - this time everything went perfectly well in sharp contrast to an adventure I experienced some years ago together with Alice when we lost the right way in the Rote Wand area twice and ended up in unpleasant terrain and without knowing how much more difficult the way would get.

After this cache we continued to the cache "The Wall".

Thanks for showing us a very nice alternative way up to the summit of the Rote Wand. Despite the rather hot temperatures today, it was a perfect day I enjoyed very much.

Nach kleiner Röthelsteintour noch einen Sprung zur Roten Wand gemacht, um den Klettersteig zu beäugen.
Wenn man von oben kommt, besonders schön durch kleine Kraxlereien.

Zusammen mit norskog die tolle Abkürzung auf die Rote Wand genutzt. Super Gegend, gefällt mir immer wieder sehr gut!
Danke für diesen Cache, sonst wäre wie ich immer aussen über die Bucheben auf die Rote Wand gegangen...

Kletterrei für fast jede/r Frau/Mann.

Kurz nach dem Ausstieg aus der Abkürzung sind wir einer Herde junger Steinbock-Mütter mit ihren Jungen begegnet. Echt liab!
