Everybody who read Erik van Deniken's books knows that earth was visited by aliens in prehistoric times, but until now it remained in the dark if they did geocaching. Exciting discoveries in the middle of Berlin - in an area called "Easter Island" by the locales - are now supporting this hypothesis:
Van Deniken found out that some of the sculptures show grooves and holes that were made either for hiding micro caches or at least for worshiping them.
Furthermore the explorer and author ascertained that the stairs on the north side are about as brought as the allowed minimal distance of two geocaches.
The only thing missing is a prove for his thesis. Geocachers from all over the world are invoked to solve the mystery!

Kannte den Cache von einer früheren Cachesuche und wollte ihn heute besuchen, habe leider nur das leere Versteck gefunden. Scheint der gründlichen Parkpflege zum Opfer gefallen zu sein. Schaaaade!

Liebe Osterinsel,
viele Sucher haben wir auf deinem Areal gestern und heute gesehen, vor ihnen konntest du dein Geheimnis gut bewahren, aber nichts bleibt auf Dauer unentdeckt. Heute haben wir deinen Schatz ans Licht geholt, uns ins Logbuch eingetragen und ihn wieder gehörig verborgen. Unser Tipp: wer zählen kann ist deutlich im vorteil ;)
