Earlier - earlier - there one could go with the ferry from Üdesheim to Himmelgeist just for drinking coffee . You took your bicycle or went on foot..... and often I did the round back to Allerheiligen over the South Bridge - nowadays named in Cardinal Frings Brücke. Since there is the Fleher Rhine Bridge, unfortunately, there is not the ferry any more and Himmelgeist has moved for pedestrians or cyclists in wide distance. Swimming is not fine also because of the dangerous Rhine currents. However, the landing stage of the ferry is still worth seeing, because one can sit of course also simply there in the sand and postdream the times. By the way: a sign in the dyke breakthrough refers to the fact that this ferry is mentioned already in 1845 for the first time in a map. And thus this Cache stands for all ferries whose company becomes or has become increasingly difficult by bridges or even impossible , e.g., also the ferry between Meerbusch Langst-Kierst and Düsseldorf Kaiserswerth. It's existance has become strongly decreased by the airport bridge.

The Cache itself does not lie in given co-ordinates. These are only the co-ordinates of the landing stage in which you can put down the bicycle. One can park in front of the restaurant before the dyke way through. The exact last three places of the co-ordinates of the Caches arise if the following small arithmetic job is solved:

N - co-ordinate: Opening date of the Fleher Brücke minus A G H E (position of the letters in the alphabet)

E - co-ordinate: Opening date of the airport bridge minus A B F B (position of the letters in the alphabet)

The Cache is hidden under often available bank connection material - meant are stones - . Look at the spoiler picture and hide everything again invisibly.In times of strong high water the Cache shall be reached only with diver's equipment.

Ich habe das tolle Wetter heute zu einer ausgiebigen Radtour genutzt.
Dies war einer der Caches, die ich auf meinem Weg besucht habe.
Wie nicht anders vom Owner gewohnt, ein liebevoll gemachtes Versteck.
