Paternoster Safari Cache
A paternoster lift, or paternoster, technically known as a personal
circulation hoist, is a special form of a lift system for the transport
of persons.
Your task:
Find a paternoster lift and take a picture of yourself or a personal item with the paternoster.
It is not necessary for the logging, which you must drive with the Paternoster.
It is allowed to use a paternoster from several cachers to log.
It is allowed that each owner logs this safari cache also in different places (thus several logs allowed)
You should also give more details about the Paternoster (if known).
The score D3 / T1 because of the "rarity". There are so many, unfortunately, no more.
Access is mostly flat
Log the cache
- Find a paternoster
- Find the coordinates at the entrance of the building where the paternoster is located.
- It would be nice if you could find further information and write this into the log (no log condition)
- Make a photo that shows your GPS device (or yourself with GPS) or a personal item.
- Write the coordinates into your log and add the image.

enter the coordinates in the format "N / S DD MM.MMM E / W DDD MM.MMM"
(eg "N 48 00.000 E 008 00.000") required in the log condition into the

Lange her, daß ich bei GC einen Paternoster mit Foto geloggt habe.
(Siehe g..c.../live/log/GL7P8EPJ von 2012-03.)
Jetzt habe ich das Foto mal hervorgesucht.
Es macht mir immer viel Spaß, mit Paternostern zu fahren,
doch mittlerweile werden die Möglichkeiten leider immer weniger...

Heute konnten wir zufällig im Deutschlandhaus (Einkaufspasssage) in Essen einen Paternoster entdecken.
Früher haben wir öfters Paternostern benutzt.
Irgendwann sind diese durch moderne Aufzüge ersetzt worden.
Die Koordinaten lauten:
N 51° 27.205 E 007° 00.653

In Stuttgart habe ich einen Paternoster im Rathaus enteckt.
Leider war er gesperrt, so dass ich ihn nicht ausprobieren konnte.
Auf der Homepage des Rathauses heißt es:
Im Stuttgarter Rathaus gibt es drei Umlaufaufzüge, besser bekannt als Paternoster. Der Paternoster im Marktplatzflügel ist seit 1956 in Betrieb und wurde im Jahr 2004 modernisiert. Das Mitfahren in einer der zwölf Kabinen ist ein besonderes Erlebnis. Der Name Paternoster wird übrigens vom katholischen Rosenkranz abgeleitet. Denn wie die Perlen der Gebetskette sind die Kabinen des Aufzugs aufgefädelt.

Ich musste (durfte) zu einer Hochzeit 550km entfernt fahren... irgendetwas gutes musste es ja haben:
Im Rathaus/Standesamt Wuppertal-Barmen entdeckte ich aus Zufall diesen Paternoster (nach der Trauung war er übrigens schon wieder außer Betrieb, aber da bestand wohl kein Zusammenhang)...
Zu finden ist er bei N51 16.325 E007 12.003
