Seyðisfjörður - Welcome to Iceland

Those who reach Iceland by ship with the Norröna from Denmark, or with a cruise ship, will probably do their first steps on icelandic ground at Seyðisfjörður harbour. From here, there's only one way into the country: Over a 620 metre high mountain pass road going to Egilsstaðir, where you'll reach the famous circle road N1. During the winter this road often is closed and the town isolated until weather calms down.

Your task:

To log this virtual cache you'll need to visit the listing coordinates. There you will find a kind of table with explanation of the panorama, a compass rose, the names of the according daytimes in icelandic and the coordinates embossed in the center.

 
Required: Put your GPS receiver (or smartphone) into the bowl besides the coordinates and switch it into a mode that allows to read your measured coordinates. Compare the measured coordinates with those in the bowl, and take a photo of your GPS together with the embossed coordinates. If you don't have a GPS receiver with you that allows to display current coordinates, or can't take a photo of it (e.g. because you use your phone as both camera and GPS), any other personal item will do. Please upload this photo and add it to your log.

Optional: If you came by ship, a photo of your vessel would be welcome. You're also welcome to add more photos of the surroundings.
