A Virtual OC only with 3 stages on a former military site with the possibility of a detour to a prehistoric excavation site.

Officially you have to park at the bottom of the village and walk up. We always drive up to the site and never had a problem or discussion. Just don't stand in the middle of the path so that the agriculture can still get through.

To the virtual cache: find out the 3 numbers on the pictures below inside the terrain. From this you calculate the password for logging the cache. Password = B x C + A.

ABC

You can walk the terrain clockwise or counterclockwise. At the northern end of the terrain you will find a small exit. If you leave the area there and run left to N49° 43.042 E008° 09.665, you are at the excavation site.

Here a large Deinotherium skull was found in 1835.

More information can be found here:

https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deinotherium

In the small village of Eppelsheim you will also find the Deinotherium Museum and an old Jewish cemetery.

Coordinates can be found in the wiki links.

We hope you have a good time up here - no matter if you're an Opencacher from near or far or just need a little walk and break for you or your cachedog from the A61 motorway.

We still know the area from these two geocaches from the last decade.

Our cache-dog Luke! walks here again on the traces of his predecessor Paul.

Have fun - AndreIsaPaul and Luke!
