Man kommt immer ins G'hackte. Wurscht. A Hetz wars.
Solche Dinger findet man einige im Kaiserwald. Einen Zweck werden sie schon gehabt haben. Welchen? ...?

Despite the rapidly deteriorating weather, I decided to continue from the Schiessstaette cache to this cache. I left my bicycle at the wayside shrine and continued on foot. As it is often the case in the Kaiserwald area, the situation on the AMAP looked simpler than it turned out to be in reality. At the beginning I followed a large trail, but later one I was happy with small trails and sometimes I ended up with some trackless parts as well. After a walk a bit longer than expected (due to the many muddy and wet areas I had to make some detours), I arrived in the target area. Due to the hint I found the cache quickly despite the jumpy reception (several times I had no fix at all). It was, however, much more difficult to get the cache out of its hideout. I had to work for about 15 minutes. Despite the warm temperatures the camouflage part again was frozen to the cache. I guess that the cache is not well suited to be visited in Winter time. It is indeed strange that such a tunnel is to be found in this place, but it's not the only strange object in the Kaiserwald area. After having found the cache I went back to my bicycle.
The ride home was not enjoyable. It was raining and in some parts the wind was quite annoying. For a moment I thought even about going to the train station in Oberpremstaetten to go back by train, but I then refrained from doing so and continued by bicycle. I was, however, quite happy when I arrived back home after about 40 km overall. My socks, shoes and trousers were quite wet, but after a nice cup of tea the world looked bright again. In any case I will keep this cache and the way home in my memory for a long time as quite an adventurous trip on Christmas Day.
Thank you for the movitation to leave my home despite the pessimistic weather forecast. The walk to the cache was short, but quite nice. I would, however, have preferred a multi cache. It is pity that apparently all new multi caches are night caches which are without my reach.
No trade (I did not want to leave a GC as the cache is not retrievable when it is cold - I did not see a GC in the cache, but I did not look carefully)

Small detour together with Sator# while visiting the nearby night-cache GC221VW "Die Nacht der Elfen". A rather strange but somehow interesting place..
